How we handle your data

We may process names, contact details, reservation details and identity information required by law. A valid identity document is requested for each guest at check-in. Payments and bookings through Smoobu, Airbnb or Booking.com are also governed by those providers’ notices; we do not necessarily receive complete card details. The website also processes technical navigation data such as IP addresses.

We process data to answer enquiries and arrange stays (pre-contractual steps or contract), comply with public security, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation), and protect our rights or service security within legitimate-interest limits. Marketing messages would require separate consent; this site has no newsletter.

We keep data for as long as necessary for these purposes and legal obligations. Accounting documents may be retained for 10 years. Reservation details may be kept to manage the stay and any claims. Identity document data is handled for guest registration and not kept longer than necessary or required by law.

Data may be shared with competent authorities, advisers and providers needed for the website, email, reservations and payments, according to their privacy roles. We do not sell personal data. External booking platforms and Smoobu process data under their own notices when you use their services.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case GDPR safeguards apply. The stay page includes a third-party Smoobu booking tool, while social and platform links open external services. The provider may use its own technical processing or cookies; read its notice before submitting data.
